I hired Doug for a survey on a 21 foot boat and it was great working with him. He was very responsive, showed up on time, did a very thorough inspection of the boat, and answered all my questions. His price was reasonable, and gave me a very detailed report a few hours after we completed the sea trial.

I did a survey with Doug in June 2023. He was very professional and detailed. He was an amazing person to deal with. I am extremely satisfied with the way he did the survey. I would recommend him anytime. On a personal level amazing guy.

I hired Doug to do a pre-purchase survey on a Robalo 262 CC. He inspected the boat thoroughly and pointed out every detail whether it needed to be addressed or not. When we finished with the survey and sea-trial he took me to the side private to the broker and told me his biggest concerns. The full report, which was thoroughly and professionally done, was emailed to me within 24hrs with all pictures included! Doug is a true professional and he completely eased my mind before making a large sum purchase. Do not go into a big money deal on a boat without a survey. I would hire Doug over and over, very pleased.

I hired Doug to perform a pre-purchase survey on a used Sea Ray 190 Sport, and I couldn't be happier. He responded quickly to my emails, and scheduling the survey was very easy. I was present for the survey, and Doug took his time to explain areas of concern he identified. I would definitely hire him again!

Doug is a professional: prompt, thorough and informative. He explained his needs beforehand, met me and the owner on time with his survey tools, and got down to business. He had my best interest in mind, privately pointing out issues on site and during the sea trial. His survey report was quick, comprehensive and clear. I had the peace of mind to put in a decent offer and got it for under asking price. Thanks Doug!

Doug went above and beyond my expectations of what a boat survey should be. Doug surveyed a Monterey 302 my wife and I purchased. He was very thorough and professional. He was also extremely accommodating in dealing with a finicky seller who wanted everything done on his schedule. Would definitely recommend True Heading to anyone.
